I was looking over the news today here in Manila and I read about our new President Benigno Aquino III, sometimes referred to as "Noynoy."

Many Filipinos had very high aspirations for Noynoy who became President of the Philippines only two months ago. It is important to remember that Philippines have many problems before Noynoy get here. We had Dictator, Movie stars and more all bad Presidents for Philippines.

According to the Philippine government, the office has been held by politicians who were inaugurated as President of the Philippines following the ratification of a constitution that explicitly declared the existence of the Philippines.

Leaders of the Philippines prior to the arrival of the Spaniards were called 'Datu', or tribal chief and monarchs in the Philippines

Leaders prior to the ratification of the 1899 constitution were called The Governor-General of the Philippines and that was the title of the government executive during the colonial period of the Philippines under Spain from 1565 until Spanish crown lost the country to the United States in 1898, The King of Spain was the head of state during the Spanish era (1565–1898)). The President of the United States was the head of state during the American era (1898–1946).

Presidents under the Commonwealth of the Philippines were under United States sovereignty, and that the president of the Second Republic is considered to have been running a puppet government of the Japanese during World War II although this puppet government of Jose P. Laurel during the Japanese occupation was officially considered independent by the Japanese. Thus the Philippines had three Presidents during that war - one de facto and two de jure, and two at the same time. Emilio Aguinaldo's government wasn't officially recognized by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines until the term of Diosdado Macapagal.

Below here is list of Philippines Presidents and their pictures. In my next blog I will tell yous why I think problem not belong to Noynoy. He haves time to fix things, but I think not long...
